Witness Intimidation Charge Dismissed

A criminal defense lawyer was charged with witness intimidation for merely doing their job and interviewing a potential witness. The only intimidation that actually occurred was by the government when C&N’s client was charged with a felony in an attempt to get the lawyer to back down from their zealous advocacy in defending a murder case. Mary immediately began investigating the case and was able to show that no crime had occurred here, and the felony charge against C&N’s client was dismissed. Our client can now continue to fulfill their constitutional obligations without the threat of government prosecution.
