Community Leadership

The entire C&N team is committed to serving our community. We serve as leaders in various legal organizations, such as the State Bar of Michigan, the Ingham County Bar Association, and the Davis-Dunnings Bar Association. We also actively participate in various organizations devoted to criminal defense issues.

Our commitment extends to teaching and mentoring on topics related to criminal defense litigation. We present nationally and statewide on all aspects of trial skills needed to litigate criminal defense cases, and we also share our knowledge on numerous substantive topics such as evidence, eyewitness challenges, and how to spot and raise constitutional issues when defending the rights of a client.

But even more than serving the legal community, we also participate in numerous other ways. We volunteer our time and contribute our resources to various organizations, such as the Capitol Area Humane Society, Lansing Area AIDS Network, Lansing Refugee Development Center, Lansing Boys & Girls Club, and more.

We are also strongly committed to serving the needs of veterans. We volunteer our time to handle pro bono cases, including working with Service to Soldiers, and we organize an annual coat and warm clothing drive to help veterans throughout the state. At C&N, we all strive to help the community in ways that go beyond just handling cases in the courtroom.
