Know Your Rights!

Community members and law students gathered for the recent “Know Your Rights” program hosted by WMU-Cooley Law School’s Lansing Black Law Students Association in collaboration with the Davis-Dunnings Bar Association. The free program, held at the Capital Area District Library, helped law students learn and review major topics in criminal procedure, and allowed community members to learn about rights and protections under the Fourth Amendment. The event also included a Q&A session featuring a diverse panel of community leaders including C&N’s own Founding Partner Takura Nyamfukudza!
